This prayer bead is a Bakelite faturan, an amber imitation
necklace or Islamic tasbih (Muslim rosary). It has 33 amber yellow beads, two counters, an Imam
bead, and a tassel. The imitation amber beads are Bakelite; Phenolic resins are
often known only as Bakelite, the original and most recognized trade name for
this class of materials.
